Dr. Andrew Pugliese, Medical Director at HydraPlus, is a triple-board-certified physician in Internal Medicine, Infectious Disease, and Sleep Medicine with more than three decades of clinical and academic leadership. He completed his medical training at St. George’s University, followed by residency and fellowship appointments at New Rochelle Hospital and Winthrop University Hospital, where he later contributed to core infectious disease education.

Since 1996, Dr. Pugliese has led Infectious Disease Consultants, P.C. in Suwanee, Georgia, serving as President and CEO while maintaining an active clinical practice. His expertise also extends to advanced diagnostic technologies through his role as Medical Director for MicroGenDX, advising clinicians nationwide on the use of DNA sequencing for complex infections.

A published researcher and author of both medical and fiction works, Dr. Pugliese has contributed extensively to the scientific literature on sinusitis, HIV, antimicrobial therapy, and hospital-acquired infections. He has been a featured lecturer for major medical institutions and pharmaceutical sponsors and has served as a residency preceptor training the next generation of primary care physicians.
